Apprentice Leah Taylor Pownall has been shortlisted in the Inspirational Young Person category at the Inclusion In Awards.
Leah, who is currently completing Level 2 Fitted Interiors Installer on the Wickes Installer apprenticeship scheme with WEBS Training, couldn’t believe it when she was notified.
“I thought it was a scam at first – I asked my supervisor if it was real! It’s really nice that Wickes thought to nominate me for this award.”

The awards are taking place at London Hilton on Park Lane, on Tuesday 3rd November and are a celebration of exceptional commitment to inclusion in the retail, travel, hospitality, and leisure sectors.
A huge congratulations also to partner employer Wickes, for the organisation and their team members being shortlisted in a fantastic five categories in total.
