This is the second year in a row that a WEBS x FITA apprentice has won this category which just makes us so proud!

His boss (and perhaps more importantly, his mum!) of family-business Brookside Carpets says:

“We are incredibly proud of Freddie and everything he has achieved since joining our flooring business.

“As a family-run flooring business, it has been fantastic to watch him develop both personally and professionally. When he first started with us, he was learning the flooring industry from the ground up, but he has quickly shown a real willingness to learn and improve.”

Freddie started his apprenticeship in January, so it is amazing that he has achieved this incredible award when he isn’t yet halfway through his course! Laura continues:

“He has developed a genuine interest in flooring and has worked hard to build his knowledge and practical skills. He is becoming increasingly confident when dealing with customers, understanding different flooring products and learning the importance of providing a high standard of service.

“What has particularly impressed us is his attitude. He is hardworking, reliable and willing to take on new challenges. He listens to advice, takes feedback on board and is always looking for ways to improve. Working within a family business can bring its own challenges, but he has worked hard to establish himself as a member of the team and to be treated as an employee rather than simply as our son.”
