Facility
Complete your apprenticeship training in an actual workshop environment.
We have wood machining, upholstery, and sewing machining workshops, along with fitted furniture installation booths. Our floorlaying training takes place at our partner floorlaying training provider, FITA (in Loughborough) with purpose-built booths too.
Our training centre is a sandbox for learning – giving you the opportunity to try new things, and get creative!
Depending on your employer, sometimes the course you enrol with won’t include visits to WEBS, but you will still get the same amount of support.
Training Officers
As a small training provider, our training officers all build rapport with our apprentices, making your time on the course more supported and enjoyable.
- Understand your journey – many of our training officers are previous apprentices, so they know what it means to be an apprentice and the challenges you may be facing.
- Trade experienced – our training officers come from trade backgrounds so have the experience and skills needed to train you effectively.
- Supportive and care – all of our training officers do their job because they care about the learners and want them to succeed. They are always there to provide additional support so you can get the most out of your training.
We are a great team that you will enjoy working with!
Functional Skills Support
Courses require you to complete your functional skills in maths and English – which can seem a bit daunting, especially if you didn’t enjoy these subjects when at school.
We offer one-to-one sessions so you have dedicated help with the parts you might find difficult.
Our functional skills support is relevant to your training, so you have workplace examples to use to help you learn.
We will help you to build your confidence in these areas and improve your self-belief.
Other Support
At WEBS we don’t just care about our learners’ development in their course, we also want to support them in their personal development and overall happiness and wellbeing.
We offer additional support to our apprentices:
- Mental health first aider
- Wellbeing sessions
- Employment support
- Information on wellbeing initiatives and other support outside of WEBS
